Bananita Dolphinita, the brainrot dolphin with a banana for a back half

Bananita Dolphinita

Half dolphin, half banana, twice as slippery.

A dolphin whose back half is a banana. The head, eye, beak and fins are bottlenose dolphin, grey blue and glossy, and from the middle back the body becomes a half peeled banana, with the skin curling away in strips and the pale fruit showing. She is the best known dolphin in this trend, which is a narrow field, and the design is the reason: the curve of a banana and the curve of a leaping dolphin are the same line.

Meet Bananita Dolphinita

Bananita Dolphinita is a dolphin fused with a banana. The front is bottlenose dolphin: rounded head, dark eye, long beak, dorsal fin and two pectoral fins, grey blue with a glossy highlight. From the middle back the animal becomes a banana, half peeled, with strips of skin curling away and the pale fruit exposed.

The name is built the way most of these are, out of pieces that nearly work. Banana is banana. Delfino is Italian for dolphin, but the spelling here follows the English word, and the ending is a diminutive borrowed from Spanish rather than Italian. Correct Italian would land somewhere near Bananina Delfinina, which nobody searches for and nobody says.

That is also why the spelling never settles. The f version and the ph version both circulate, and the earliest posts doubled the t in both halves. They are all the same dolphin.

She is the best known dolphin in the trend rather than the only one, which is worth saying plainly, because there is at least one other dolphin character in circulation.

The story

Most of these characters are an animal carrying a piece of food. This one is different, because the banana is not attached to the dolphin. It is where the rest of the dolphin should be.

That sounds like a small distinction and it is not. A dolphin holding a banana is a joke you understand and then finish with. A dolphin that becomes a banana halfway down is a shape, and the shape is genuinely good: the arc of a leaping dolphin and the arc of a banana are the same curve, so the two halves meet without a seam. Somebody noticed that, and the whole character comes out of it.

She first circulated in March 2025, mid leap over open water. The peel is the detail that makes it read at any size, because it gives the back end movement while the front end is still doing dolphin things.

She is also the character whose name never settles down. Dolfinita and Dolphinita both travel. The original post doubled the t on both words. Search a spelling, and you will find the other three arguing about which one is right, which is a very brainrot way for a character to be famous.

Our version keeps the peel open and curling, the eye bright, the beak slightly up, and the split between grey blue and yellow soft rather than cut. She is not a dolphin wearing a banana. She is one animal, and it ends in fruit.

“Slippery is not an accident. It is a design choice.”

Trivia

  • Banana plus dolphin, but the Italian for dolphin is delfino. The name uses the English spelling, and the ending is a Spanish style diminutive, which is why it never settles.
  • Both spellings are real. Dolphinita with ph is searched far more in English, and Dolfinita with f is the older written form.
  • The earliest posts we can verify are from March 2025, and they doubled the t in both halves of the name.
  • She is the best known dolphin in the trend, not the only one.
  • Spellings vary, since these names are invented and travel by ear.

Questions about Bananita Dolphinita

What is Bananita Dolphinita?

Bananita Dolphinita is a dolphin whose back half is a half peeled banana. The front is a bottlenose dolphin, grey blue with a dark eye, a long beak, a dorsal fin and two pectoral fins. From the middle back it becomes a banana, with the skin peeled into strips that curl away and the pale fruit showing.

The name is banana plus dolphin. The Italian word for dolphin is delfino, so the spelling here follows the English word rather than the Italian one, and the ending is a Spanish style diminutive.

She first circulated in March 2025. There is no verified creator and no verified backstory, and the heights, weights and view counts you will find quoted for her are invented, so we do not repeat them.

She is the best known dolphin in this trend rather than the only one. If the dolphin you are thinking of had no banana, you are probably thinking of a different character.

Is it Bananita Dolphinita or Bananita Dolfinita?

Bananita Dolphinita and Bananita Dolfinita are the same character. In English the ph spelling is searched several times more often, so that is the one we use as the name of this page, and the f spelling is recognised everywhere on the site.

Both are defensible. The f version is closer to the Italian word for dolphin, delfino, which is where the joke comes from. The ph version follows the English word dolphin, which is what most people reading it in English will type. Neither is a typo of the other.

There are more versions than those two. The earliest posts doubled the t in both halves, writing Bananitta Dolfinitta, and the games use their own form again.

This happens to most of these names. They were invented as sounds in short videos and written down afterwards by whoever was captioning, so spellings vary and keep varying. It is not worth correcting anybody over.

How do you get Bananita Dolphinita in Steal a Brainrot?

Bananita Dolphinita comes the same three ways as the rest of them: wait for her to come round in the game, have the money saved when she does, or take one from another player's base. Stealing is a legitimate route, and losing her the same way is part of the deal.

We do not print rarity tiers, prices, earnings rates or spawn chances anywhere on this site. Those values get rebalanced, every guide written before a change is wrong afterwards, and they all look equally confident. The number inside the game you are playing is the only real one.

Note that the games spell her differently from each other, and Steal a Brainrot uses the ph version, so search inside the game with that spelling if the f one returns nothing.

Plants vs Brainrots is a separate game by separate people, with its own rules and its own rarities. A method for one does nothing in the other.

How do you draw Bananita Dolphinita?

Bananita Dolphinita is one curve. Get that right and the rest is colouring in.

Start with a single long arc, the shape of a banana lying on its side, thicker in the middle. That one line is both halves of the character, which is the whole trick of the design: a leaping dolphin and a banana bend the same way.

Build the dolphin on the front third. A rounded forehead, a long beak with the mouth line running back under the eye, one dark eye set just behind it, a dorsal fin on top of the curve and a pectoral fin below. Keep the beak slightly raised.

Turn the back two thirds into the banana. Draw the peel as three or four strips that separate where the grey meets the yellow and curl outward and down, with the pale cream inner side showing. Add the small brown stem at the very end.

Colour: grey blue on top of the dolphin with a soft white belly, a hard highlight along the back, then yellow with a few brown speckles for the fruit. Let the two colours blend over a short band rather than meeting in a hard line. That blend is what makes her one animal instead of two stuck together.

Is Bananita Dolphinita male or female?

Bananita Dolphinita has no official answer, because nothing about this character is official. There is no creator statement and no canon to check.

The only clue is inside the name. The ending -ita is a feminine diminutive in Spanish, and Italian does the same job with -ina, so the name reads feminine to anybody who speaks either. That is why most people say she, and it is why this page says she too.

Searches go both ways, which is why the question is here at all. Game listings and fan pages call the character he in some places and she in others, and none of them are quoting a source, because there is no source to quote.

If you are writing about her yourself, either reading is defensible. Nothing in the earliest posts states it.

How to dress as Bananita Dolphinita

One yellow tail, one grey hood, one curling peel. The peel does the work.

Bottom half: a yellow skirt, yellow trousers or a wide tube of yellow fabric. Add the peel over it as four separate strips of yellow card or fabric, fixed at the waist and curling outward at the bottom, with the pale inner side painted cream. Curled strips read as a peel. Flat ones read as a banana costume, which is a different thing entirely.

Top half: grey blue. A grey hoodie works, or a grey top with a hood. Add a dorsal fin from card or foam, stiffened and stitched to the back between the shoulders, and two small pectoral fins at the sides.

Head: keep your face clear and build the dolphin as a hood. A beak made from a grey card cone, taped at the forehead and angled slightly up, plus one large dark eye painted on each side of the hood, low down.

Colour join: the two halves should meet softly, not in a hard line. A short band of blended fabric, or a gradient painted in, sells the fusion.

Without the build, a character tee with a grey hood and a paper peel at the waist reads instantly.
