Trulimero Trulichina, the cat fish brainrot character with a cat head on a fish body

Trulimero Trulichina

Fur at the front, scales at the back, at home in neither.

A tabby cat's head on a fish's body, walking on four long legs. Scales down the back, red fins along the sides, a proper tail. It is one of the oldest characters in the whole trend, and the most plausible. The join almost works, which is exactly what makes it hard to look away from.

Meet Trulimero Trulichina

Trulimero Trulichina is a tabby cat's head on a fish's body, walking on four long legs. Scales down the back, red fins along the sides, a proper fish tail, and a face that has clearly not been consulted about any of it.

It is one of the oldest things here. The earliest known video using this chant went up at the end of January 2025, within a fortnight of Tralalero Tralala, which makes it one of the first Italian brainrot characters that existed at all.

What sets it apart is that the join almost works. Most of these hybrids are funny because the seam is absurd. This one has fur running smoothly into scales, believable proportions and legs long enough that it looks like it genuinely walks. It is the most plausible impossible animal in the set, and that is precisely the problem.

The name means nothing. Neither does the fact that nobody can agree what animal it was supposed to be.

“Too wet to be a cat. Too furry to be a fish.”

The story

To understand this one you have to picture the trend before it had any rules, because that is when it was made.

End of January 2025. Tralalero Tralala had been out for about two weeks and the format was still forming. There were no established characters, no canon, no lists. There were chants, made up on the spot, and there were generated pictures, and the two got put together by whoever happened to be making a video that afternoon.

Trulimero Trulichina was one of those chants. It went out with a cat and fish hybrid attached, and then it went out again with a cow, and a snail, and a dinosaur, and a sheep. None of those was a copy or a fake. The name simply had no owner and no fixed body, so it wore whatever was handed to it.

Three weeks later the Trippi Troppi chant appeared and the same thing happened to that one, and for a while the two chants were swapped between pictures freely. That period is why so many lists today have these characters muddled, and why nobody can produce an authority to settle it. There was never an authority.

The cat fish is the version that outlived the rest, and it deserved to. It is the best joke of the lot, because it is the one that nearly makes sense: an animal built for two places that cannot live in either.

We have drawn it mid step, head turned, ears back, looking at something off to the side. And we have kept the feet, which are worth a second look, because whatever they are, they are not a cat's.

“Do not ask me where I sleep.”

Trivia

  • It is one of the oldest characters in the trend, from the end of January 2025, within two weeks of Tralalero Tralala.
  • The chant came before the animal, which is why cow, snail, dinosaur and sheep versions all exist.
  • It is not Trippi Troppi. That one is a cat on a shrimp. This one is a cat on a fish.
  • The name means nothing. The ch is a hard k, as it always is in Italian.
  • A lot of people spell it Trulicina, with one c, and that finds the same character.

Questions about Trulimero Trulichina

What is Trulimero Trulichina?

A tabby cat's head on a fish's body, walking on four long legs. Scales down the back, red fins along the sides, a proper fish tail, and a face that has clearly not been consulted about any of this.

It is one of the oldest things in Italian brainrot. The earliest known video using the Trulimero Trulichina chant went up at the end of January 2025, which puts it right at the front of the whole wave, within a fortnight of Tralalero Tralala.

The design is doing something the others do not. Most brainrot hybrids are funny because the join is ridiculous: a shark in trainers, a monkey in a banana. This one is funny because the join almost works. Fur to scales is a smooth transition, the proportions are believable, and the legs are long enough to look like it genuinely walks. It is the most plausible impossible animal in the set, and that is what makes it unsettling.

The feet are the giveaway. Look closely and they are not cat paws.

How do you get Trulimero Trulichina in Steal a Brainrot?

The usual routes: wait for it to come round in the game, have the money saved when it does, or steal one from another player's base. Taking one is a legitimate way to get it and losing it the same way is part of the deal.

One thing to watch for with this character specifically. The name has been attached to more than one creature over time, and the games have not always picked the same one. So a guide showing a picture that does not match what you are seeing is not necessarily wrong, it may be from a version that used a different model.

We are not printing a price, an earnings rate, a rarity tier or a spawn chance. Those get rebalanced by the developer, every fan trading site lists something different, and any number here would be out of date within a month. The figure inside the game is the only real one.

It also turns up in a Fortnite map with a similar name, which is a different game by different people. A method for one does nothing in the other.

The shop has nothing to do with any of them. We draw the characters, we do not run anybody's base.

What is the cat fish brainrot called?

Trulimero Trulichina, if the body is a fish.

This question gets asked a lot by people who saw the picture and never caught the name, and it is worth answering carefully, because there is more than one cat hybrid in this trend and they get mixed up constantly.

If the body is a fish, with scales, fins and a tail, that is this one. Trulimero Trulichina. You are on the right page.

If the body is a shrimp, with a segmented orange shell and a row of thin legs underneath, that is Trippi Troppi. Different character, also a cat head, completely different everything else.

The two are genuinely related. They came out of the same few weeks at the start of 2025 and their chants were used interchangeably for a while, which is why so many lists have them muddled. But they are not the same creature, and searching for the cat fish brainrot will bring you both.

The head is the part they share. The body is the part that tells them apart.

Why are there cow, snail and dinosaur versions of Trulimero Trulichina?

Because the chant came first and the animal came second, and the animal never really settled.

This is the thing to understand about the early characters. They were not designs that got a soundtrack. They were sounds that got a picture, and whoever was making the video that day picked whatever they had generated. So the same four syllables ended up over a cat fish, a cow, a snail, a dinosaur and a sheep, and every one of those versions has people who are certain theirs is the real one.

The cat fish is the version that stuck, and it is the one almost everybody means. The others survive as search terms and as reposts.

If that sounds familiar, it is the same thing that happened to Trippi Troppi: one chant, several creatures, and a lot of arguing afterwards. The two chants were even swapped between pictures for a while. Nobody was in charge of any of it.

So if you found a version we have not drawn, you have not found a fake. You have found how this whole trend actually worked before anybody tidied it up.

What does Trulimero Trulichina mean, and is there a song?

It means nothing, and there is no song. Both answers are shorter than people expect, so here is why.

The name is sound. Trulimero, Trulichina. Two words built to the same shape, ending in the Italian sounding -ero and -ina, with nothing underneath them. It is not Italian, it does not translate, and a translator will give you nothing useful back. Trillare in Italian means to trill, which people sometimes point at, but that is a coincidence rather than an origin.

Saying it: troo-lee-MEH-ro troo-lee-KEE-na. The ch is a hard k, as it always is in Italian.

As for the song, the original is a few seconds of a text to speech voice repeating the name over one picture. That is the entire thing. Everything longer is somebody's remix, usually over a funk beat, and each one arranges the syllables differently. That is why the lyrics you find will not match between versions.

You will also see it written Trulimero Trulicina, with one c. Same character. These names spread by ear, not in writing.

How to dress as Trulimero Trulichina

Two halves, and the trick is to build them separately and join them at the waist.

The front is a cat. A brown or grey tabby hood with two pointed ears, pink inside, and stripes drawn back from the forehead in a darker shade. Whiskers from white pipe cleaners pushed through the cheeks, a small pink nose, and a pale muzzle. Keep it a real cat rather than a cartoon one. The more ordinary the face, the better the rest works.

The back is a fish, worn from the waist down or as a tabard over the back. A body of overlapping grey and silver scales, drawn as rows of curved U shapes on card or fabric. Rows are quicker than individual scales and read the same from two metres away.

Fins are the part that gets noticed. Cut them from red or orange card, thin and slightly translucent if you can find the right paper, with fine lines drawn from base to tip. Two at the sides, one standing up on the back, and a large forked one at the tail end.

Legs stay yours. Long, bare or in plain tights, and that is correct: this animal walks.

Feet are the joke if you want to take it further. Anything that is not a paw. Bare feet, socks with toes, sandals.

Without the build, a character tee and cat ears is enough for anyone who knows it.
